Giovanni is the Founder and CEO. He is leading the GatherApp team across the financial, technological and marketing front to bring the major advancement in financial technology in wealth management globally. Giovanni has over 20 years of experience and track record in finance and innovation.
At the age of 27 he already led the award-winning Investor Solution team at Barclays Capital London followed by heading the European distribution, origination and innovation of alternative products at Goldman Sachs, London. In 2009, he founded 1OAK Capital, his London based Asset & Wealth Management group with presence in NYC, Dubai and Rome, for institutional clients and family offices.
The intersection of innovation and finance has been the consistent bedrock of Giovanni's career trajectory which has led to his vision for GatherApp and his proven ability to harness the twin engines of attracting industry talent and investment to turn his vision into a reality. He believes in purpose-driven and values-led leadership. Giovanni supports food banks committed to helping local people in crisis and enjoys cooking food for the homeless in London. Inspired by his dog Otto who was rescued from a dog shelter in Italy, he supports dog rehoming and rescue charities.
Gautam Lohia is the CTO of GatherApp and focuses on developing strategies to leverage technologies to build the product. He has been leading digital technology companies for over 25 years. He is the Founder of Apply Digital, a leading digital product studio based in Vancouver working with global brands including Nike, lululemon, Disney, and Dell. Gautam has integrated sustainability into his digital design ethos and shares his passion speaking to audiences at industry conferences for the paradigm shift needed in technology to embrace sustainability in technology-deficit industries and beyond.
Prior to founding Apply Digital, he was instrumental in growing Blast Radius from a Vancouver-based digital agency to a global marketing firm leading to its successful sale to WPP. Working closely with high-profile clients such as Starbucks, BMW and overseeing staff worldwide. He is a serial entrepreneur, having founded a number of tech companies including Quickmobile.
Gautam Lohia sits on the board of the Children's Hospital BC and supports the Canucks Place Hospice.
Andrea is the portfolio investment co-lead dedicated to investment solutions and alternative investments. He has over 25 years of experience in the financial sector having worked for major global investment banks and in alternative asset management across different roles.
He is part of the 1OAK Capital team heading the institutional asset management solution unit. Prior to this he was Head of Commodity Investor Sales and Structuring for EMEA at JPMorgan, and held similar positions for different asset classes at Goldman Sachs, Dresdner Bank and UBS in London.
Andrea holds a Masters in Chemical Engineering from Imperial College, London and a Masters in Economics and Management from SDA Bocconi in Milan.
Dipika is the COO of GatherApp. She designs and implements business operations and procedures. Dipika works closely with the CEO in establishing policies and processes that align and support the company culture and vision whilst harnessing the entrepreneurial spirit naturally inherent in an early-stage tech startup.
Dipika has over 20 years of operations experience in startups and established businesses across luxury, hospitality and property in the UK and South Asia. In 2010, Dipika launched the UK subsidiary of Akshaya Patra Foundation, an NGO for children, which runs the world's largest school lunch programme to end child classroom hunger and feeds over 1.8 million children every day across India.
She currently sits on the advisory board of Ektara, a charity providing education to enable community transformation in the slums in India. She is spearheading GatherApp's CSR and charity partnerships including the Eden Reforestation project and Just One Ocean as part of the brand's commitment to aligning with the UN Sustainable Development Goals.
Nicolas is the Head of Business Development at GatherApp. He works across all internal functional areas such as technology, sales, marketing, operations, as well as liaising with external parties including customers, regulatory bodies and advisors. Nicolas identifies strategic partnerships within the FinTech ecosystem and develops strategies to approach these companies to secure the buy-in of multiple stakeholders, driving action and creating value.
He uses his knowledge of the markets as a wealth management analyst at 1OAK Capital in London to understand the changing dynamics and works with the tech team to push the frontiers of financial innovation. He studied Global Financial Management at Regents University London and graduated with a 2.1 BSc (Hons). Nicolas has previously worked in management consulting and for the accounting firm Deloitte in the MENA region.
He volunteers in a care home run by his grandmother when he visits Lebanon to support and befriend residents, assist with a range of activities, share a meal to combat loneliness and social isolation and provide vital support for older residents.
Faisal is the portfolio investment co-lead and responsible for optimising asset allocation, sharia-compliant solutions and investment advisory services. He has over 20 years’ experience in Asset & Wealth management and he is passionate about the democratisation of wealth management that GatherApp will offer and its potential to harness the ocean of liquidity that sits dormant in traditional bank accounts around the world.
He is part of the 1OAK team heading wealth management and providing solutions for financial institutions, corporates, charities and family offices in asset & liability management, property investments and co-investment opportunities. Prior to 1OAK, he worked at Credit Suisse and for a decade at Goldman Sachs advising clients on asset allocation, portfolio construction, tactical trading, and sharia investment solutions. He is a Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst and a Chartered Financial Analyst.
He sits on the Advisory board of the Bahrain Institute of Banking & Finance. Faisal has advised a number of charities helping them with investing their funds sustainably.
Farzana is working with the GatherApp team to align brand, marketing, and communications with business strategy. She is the Founder and CEO of Curzon PR, a strategy and communications firm. Farzana has been appointed as the resident public relations expert and ambassador for the Oxford Foundry, the University of Oxford’s entrepreneurship centre, where she delivers masterclasses in PR and mentors female entrepreneurs. She is a Chartered PR practitioner accredited by the Chartered Institute of Public Relations and a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Marketing with over 20 years of global experience in strategy, brand, marketing and public relations across sectors including finance and technology.
Farzana has been a judge for a number of PR and marketing industry awards and has herself won four awards for PR and entrepreneurship. She is an expert commentator and has appeared on the BBC, Sky News, ITV, Radio 4, Financial Times, as well as industry media including PRWeek. She donates her time and expertise to various charitable organisations on a voluntary basis.
Wells heads UX at GatherApp and adopts an insight-led and data-driven approach to solving market needs by crafting solutions that span customer, user, and brand experiences. He balances customer desires, stakeholder needs, business goals, and technical constraints using techniques from UX, CX, and Service Design.
Wells is the Head of Experience at Apply Digital, a Vancouver based Digital Product Studio partnering with client brands such as Pantone and Nike. He has over 12 years of experience in a career bridging the gaps between strategists, creatives, developers, and clients. His ability to build cohesive teams leads to the best user-centred experience possible that balances business goals and constraints.
Wells mentors next-generation talent as an industry mentor at the Vancouver Film School. He currently serves on the board for industry organisations such as the Vancouver UX Awards. Wells volunteers and fundraises for a number of charitable causes including the British Columbia Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals and War Child Canada.
As Head of Engineering, Andrea Moretti, is responsible for defining the technical architecture and choosing technologies and frameworks best suited for GatherApp. Andrea is a digital veteran with over 20 years of experience with a background in industrial design and foreground in full-stack technology.
He heads engineering and technology at Apply Digital, a digital product studio based in Vancouver, where he leads a team of developers to ensure the best practices in coding. Andrea finds enterprise web applications are often bound by obsolete technologies that deliver sub-par experiences. With his experience in building mobile applications and web applications, Andrea is focused on selecting the right technologies to create solutions that are life-enhancing for the consumer. Andrea has worked with global brands including Nike, Starbucks, and The Weather Network amongst others.
Prior to Apply Digital, Andrea co-founded Bbox communication agency, where he managed Research & Development, graphic design, and web development for a multitude of clients almost a decade in Italy.
Gemma is a Digital Marketing Executive at GatherApp. She works across influencer marketing, social media, content marketing, search marketing and search engine optimisation. Gemma's approach to marketing is based on the art of storytelling. She advocates transforming the narrative into story and placing it at the heart of consumer engagement. She believes storytelling is the most influential form of communication. Gemma is combining influencer marketing for driving brand awareness for GatherApp with peer to peer marketing for building trust and brand equity.
Prior to working at GatherApp, she has worked in venture capital with a focus on early-stage tech companies as well as stints in hospitality, engineering and Public Relations. She studied Chemistry at The University of Nottingham and graduated with a 2.1 BSc (Hons).
Gemma has volunteered over the years for a number of charities including Riding for the Disabled Association and fundraising for Save the Children's initiative to distribute nutrition-rich food to communities across Africa.
Naomi is a Corporate Communication Executive at GatherApp. She works across media relations, internal communications, investor relations, stakeholder engagement, strategic partnerships, and corporate social responsibility.
Naomi takes a dual approach of research-led and data-driven insight to communications. She places purpose firmly at the core of the brand. Naomi champions the triple bottom line at GatherApp, "people, planet, and profit" and the goal of sustainability.
Naomi supports reforestation projects that compensate for carbon emissions and is spearheading this initiative within GatherApp. She led the GatherApp research initiative testing the brand hypothesis through focus groups and both quantitative and qualitative analysis. She joined GatherApp after she working at a wealth management firm on risk analysis for ETF and REITS. Prior to this, she has worked in marketing and research roles across hospitality, property and service sectors. She studied Business Management at The University of Nottingham and graduated with a 2.1 BSc (Hons).
